I was on quite a roll with all the UPA layouts, so I just kept going to complete a 2009-2010 album for Anna with all the MVC All Star and Jr. Cheer camp activities.

The year started out in August with the annual MVC Jr. Cheer Camp. It was Anna’s third year participating in the camp. They got to perform for the half-time show at a preseason game. The camp also included tryouts for the All Star squad. I remember Anna being a little nervous on tryout day. She was invited to be on the All Stars for a second year.

Then in October the All Stars visited a local nursing home performing a few cheers and sharing cards. Their first big performace at the Coon Rapids Dance Show was just the beginning of good things to come.

We both got to perform on the Plaza outside the Metrodome before a game.

In November we both got ready for the annual MVC Holiday Show at the Mall of America. Anna was so excited to be performing at the MOA.

The UPA/Timberwolves Challenge Cup in December at the Target Center saw all three All Star Teams with first place trophys and a Grand Championship trophy for Anna’s purple team.

The MVC Jr. Cheer Winter Camp in December featured the All Stars and the A-Team. I got to stand right behind Anna on the field as she was performing. What a thrill it was for me to be on the field with my daughter.

Of course, you know all about the UPA Americup competition if you’ve followed my last few blog posts.

The season came to an end just last week as the teams celebrated a successful year with cake, ice cream, sparkling juice and awards at Winter Park. Anna was named the team’s  “Most Flexible” this year (to go along with last year’s “Best High Kicks”).
